Emily is a warm, relationship-focused practitioner who supports children and families through Child-Centred Play Therapy principles and counselling-informed practice. With a background in psychology and a Master of Counselling, Emily brings a compassionate, grounded approach that helps parents feel confident and supported. She is passionate about helping caregivers strengthen connection through simple, intentional play.

Mercia Armstrong

Mercia Armstrong (B.Ed – Primary & Early Childhood, MSW)

Director & Play Therapy Practitioner

Mercia is the Director of Curious Box Play Therapy and Play Therapy Practitioner with a dual foundation in education and social work. With specialised training in Child-Centred Play Therapy and a strong background in trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming practice, Mercia supports children and families through relational, play-based therapeutic approaches. She is passionate about giving parents practical, accessible tools that nurture emotional regulation, connection, and a deep sense of safety.
